Welcome Zoē!

This year, we’ve welcomed Zoё Jay to the Anglican Centre team as an Administrative Assistant.

If you visit us or call our reception you’ll likely meet Zoё. Give her a friendly “Kia ora” and introduce yourself.

We asked Zoё a few questions to help you get to know her.

Tell us about yourself.

My name is Zoё Danger Jay (that really is my middle name). I am married to Matt Jay, my parents are Matt and Natalya Mansell.

I’m studying Theology at Otago University towards a Masters in Theology. I enjoy books/reading and love tea.

You’re an experienced youth worker right?

Yep, I’ve done youth work for St Johns (Johnsonville Parish) and currently do youth work at my church (Capital Vineyard)

So, what does an Administrative Assistant do at the Anglican Centre?

I do a little bit of everything, most of it is answering phone calls and emails, welcoming those who come into the centre, and overall helping keep things running at the centre. I also support the property team, by helping in the backend systems allowing them to be on the ground with the people.

And, how are your feeling about it so far?

It’s going well. There are lots of different systems running to help keep the Diocese running and I feel like I’m starting to get the hang of them. It has definitely helped that the people are so lovely to work with. Personalities make or break a work environment and the people here are such encouraging, uplifting people. They are people really full of grace and compassion and have welcomed me into the space with open arms.

Thanks Zoё! We love having you on team!
