Communities Gather in Naenae

An energetic buzz filled St David’s, Naenae, as missional communities gathered to dedicate themselves for another year.

The Communities Commissioning Service brought together groups in the diocese who choose to orientate their lives around living in community, growing faith and offering service to their neighbourhood and wider world.

Led by Rev’d Mel McKenzie and Jasmine Robinson, those gathered included, The Community of Transfiguration, The Community of Transformation, Re New Communities, Urban Vision, Common Grace, Taitā, and Tawa and Newtown Youth Houses.

Rev’d Chelsea Kirby shared from Hebrews 11 and reminded us about the depth of shared whakapapa and the joy that sustains us.

Please pray for all these people as they serve, often in hard places and offer God’s love in a hurting world.
