Synod 2020 to go online

As we find ourselves in uncertain times, the Diocesan Council has decided to move the upcoming Synod to a virtual platform. Synod was to be held in Kāpiti Parish on the 19th of September, but will now be held via Zoom online meeting on the same day.

Synod representatives and active clergy have been informed of this decision, and further details about how the Zoom meeting will be conducted will be sent out once confirmed.

Parishioners who are interested in observing Synod online will have an opportunity to do so, and details of this will also be included in News for our Movement in coming weeks. Special thanks to Archdeacon Julie and Kāpiti Parish who have been working hard to arrange Synod. While it is sad to have made this decision, we are encouraging representatives to consider how they might gather as family in parish or cluster groups for this event.
