Household Goods for Refugees

In the Cathedral, the week before last, we gathered and sorted household items, pantry packs and toys for former refugee families resettling in Wellington. Although, at this stage no houses have been found for them.

Patricia Cooper, the Diocesan Refugee Resettlement Co-ordinator, wants to give a big thank you to the parishes who so generously donated goods for this intake: St Barnabas Roseneath, St Peters on Willis, Chinese Anglican Mission, St Johns Johnsonville, Pauatahanui Parish, Miramar-Seatoun-Strathmore.

Thank you also to the volunteers and cathedral people who came in on the Monday and helped us.

If any parish or group would like to help with providing household items, pantry packs or toys for our next intake please contact Patricia at patricia@anglicanmovement.nz.
