Assistant Bishop Update

Our thanks to Oroua Parish and to every Synod member for the day we shared together last Saturday at St John’s in Feilding.

It was a long day, but the warm hospitality of the local parish and the prayerful and respectful atmosphere supported a day of healthy dialogue and agreement on nominating a new Assistant Bishop for our Movement.

Thank you to all who prayed, who provided manaakitanga on the day and those who contributed to the discussion.

With the Electoral College Synod agreeing on a nominee to the position as the next Assistant Bishop of Wellington, the nomination is now under ratification by the House of Bishops and then the members of General Synod.

The appointment is then announced. We ask that you continue to hold all those involved, and in particular the new nominee, in your prayers.
