Let Sparks Fly: An Evening for Missionally-Minded Neighbours

7:30 pmWellington Cathedral of St Paul

Kia ora! You are invited to an epic evening featuring missional leader and communicator, Paul Sparks. If you’re interested in starting a neighbourhood initiative, exploring how you can more deeply connect with your local community or you are well on your way and are keen to connect with a tribe of like-minded people, this evening is for you!

Paul Sparks is a leading voice in the growing ‘parish movement’. He has done tours and training in over 1,000 communities around the world and is basically a walking clear-file of ideas on how followers of Jesus can ‘neighbour well’ in their local contexts. Paul’s mission is to help the local church become a life-giving presence in, with, and for the neighbourhood.

Paul is the co-founding director of the Parish Collective, a network platform that identifies, connects, and resources local parish expressions. He is the co-author of the award-winning book The New Parish: How Neighbourhood Churches Are Transforming Mission, Discipleship, and Community, a lecturer at the Seattle School of Theology and Psychology and has over 30 years combined experience as an Ordained Pastor and Community Builder. He and his co-conspiring partner Elizabeth Sparks serve in a historic Catholic Worker Community in the hilltop neighbourhood of Tacoma, WA.

We’d love to have you join us for a night of storytelling, discussion and inspiration. Doors open at 7 (there might even be snacks for the early-birds).

    Hope to see you there!
