Electoral College this Saturday

Synod members gather this Saturday in Feilding to discern and vote for an Assistant Bishop.  

Please pray for all Synod members attending Electoral College, that the gathering might be Spirit led and attentive to the Lord’s leading.  

Synod agreed (in October 2023) that increasing the capacity of the Bishop’s role across the Diocese will support the continued growth and development of our whole Movement.  

We have sought a catalytic leader with a proven record of disciple-making and multiplication; someone who will exercise mana in healing and reconciling the spaces they enter and will hold a strong alignment to Anglican Movement’s vision and values.

Once the Electoral College agrees on a nominee to be a Bishop in our Church and next Assistant Bishop of Wellington, the nomination is then ratified by the House of Bishops and then the members of General Synod.

 The appointment is then announced.
