Digging Deeper into Prayer

Thy Kingdom Come starts this Thursday, Ascension Day, and runs until the day of Pentecost on Sunday 5th June. Every year, millions of Christians around the world commit themselves to praying for 5 people to come to know the love and peace of Jesus Christ over this 10-day period.

Waikanae Parish Prayer Room, 2020

All throughout our movement we are doing the same. As well as committing to pray for 5 people, Thy Kingdom Come offers us opportunities to dig deeper into prayer. From daily prayers to 24-hour prayer vigils you can join in with your local parish, or join in prayer with others from across our diocese.

There are so many great ideas on the Thy Kingdom Come website, or you can take a look at the short poster around the theme of reconciliation that has been put together for us.

If you are setting up a prayer space, we’d love to see it. Send pictures of your prayer space to communications@anglicanmovement.nz.
