Ordain-a-thon Finale in Lyall Bay

On a windy Wellington day, a crowd gathered in anticipation at St Jude's Church hall to witness the ordination to priesthood of Rev Jax Clark and Rev Kevin Denholm.

Despite the blustery weather, the mood was warm and celebratory, with standing room only as friends, family, and fellow parishioners came together to mark this momentous occasion. The ceremony, led by Bishop Justin Duckworth, was filled with a sense of joy and hope, as he delivered an inspiring message, reminding everyone present that we are all called to a priestly expression in a hurting world.

Following the ceremony the celebration continued with a delightful feast. Platters of delectable meats and cheeses adorned the tables, and a sundae bar added a sweet touch to the festivities. The ordinations of Jax and Kevin are just one more step in their amazing journeys that speak of God’s faithfulness and the power of community to uplift and inspire. We wish Jax and Kevin all the best as they enter into the next stage of their ministry as priests and can’t wait to see how God works through them.
