If you’ve ever wondered what the AYM Houses are, what they look like, and what it’s like to live there, then their Open Arvo event is for you – particularly if you’re a school leaver and you’re looking for accomodation options for next year as you transition to tertiary study!
The Open Arvo is designed to let you know how intentional community is shaping, transforming and challenging our young leaders to live the best life that God has for them. Houses co-ordinator Luke Paynter says “It’s a fact. Community challenges you to be more like Jesus, according to Hebrews 10:24-25. Nothing makes you more like Jesus than the daily grind of interactions with others.”
Luke says: “God’s Word reminds us that we are put in relationships in order to encourage one another in our pursuit of God and His Kingdom. It’s within the context of church/community that we are given the opportunity to be refined as followers of Christ.”
If you (or a young person in your parish) might be interested in joining the AYM Houses for one heck of an adventure, then come along for a fancy afternoon tea and an honest Q+A of what it could look like for you in 2019. Bring your mates if they are curious too!
