Vacancy: Vicar, Parish of St John’s Te Awamutu, Diocese of Waikato and Taranaki (Closes 17th August 2018)

The Bishop of Waikato and Taranaki is seeking a fulltime Vicar for the Anglican Parish of St John’s, Te Awamutu.

Te Awamutu is a vibrant rural town in the historic Waipa region of Waikato. The Parish consists of four churches distributed across three sites (Te Awamutu, Pirongia, and Hairini).

Our desire is to discern a Vicar who can lead us in prayer, form us as disciples, and connect us to our communities. We need a Shepherd who can lead, delegate, and empower our strong team of lay and ordained ministers. We are looking for someone with a clear call to mission and relationship-building.

We are strongly committed to outreach and manage several ministries including an op-shop, Mainly Music, regular meals, youth group, children’s ministry, contributions to the food bank and much more.
