Vacancy: Seasons Programme Co-ordinator (1 day per week), Anglican Care, Christchurch (Closes 17th August 2018)

“Seasons for growth” is a grief and loss support programme based on small group, peer learning processes using the imagery of the seasons. The programme is presented by trained volunteers creating a safe space for participants to practice new ways of thinking and responding to change and loss in their lives. The programme in Christchurch is initially aimed at adults but may be extended in the future to children and young people.

Anglican Care is seeking applicants for a new 1 day per week paid position to co-ordinate the Seasons programme in Christchurch, in collaboration with the Catholic Diocese of Christchurch, for an initial period of 1 year. The position would have oversight from the Anglican Care Community Development Division and Manager. A full Position Description is available for download here.

The role would include, publicising the Seasons Programme for candidates via Anglican parishes and websites etc., co-ordinating and organizing, in conjunction with the Catholic Diocese of Christchurch, the recruitment and training of the volunteer presenters and the delivery and logistics of the programmes.

Applicants should have a Christian heart for those suffering from grief and loss and the ability to communicate to groups and individuals the benefits of the course as well as strong general communication and organisation skills.
