Vacancy: Vicar, Parish of Wakatipu, Diocese of Dunedin (Closes 31st July 2018)

The Parish of Wakatipu – in the Queenstown area of the South Island and in the Diocese of Dunedin – is seeking a full time Vicar.

Based in one of the most beautiful parts of New Zealand, the area attracts a lot of visitors – and is also home to a vibrant, welcoming and involved residential community.  We see our next Vicar as someone who will both work with us and lead us into the future with God.  The Parish is looking for the right person to grow the church, and engage with the local community.

With a capable and active Assistant Priest (NSM) and Lay Ministers support, we wish to develop our existing ministry and face the challenges of witnessing to Jesus Christ in New Zealand in 2018 and beyond.

We have committed ourselves to praying together for the right person, and will be expecting the next Vicar to be a person centred and dependent on the Holy Spirit.

Within the Diocese, the Bishop of Dunedin wants to appoint people who both practise and model prayer and reading of the Bible as they live out the risen life of Jesus Christ.

Informal enquiries are welcome to Bishop Steven—Bishop of Dunedin.

The Parish profile is available on request to bishops.pa@calledsouth.org.nz.

Please send Applications to bishops.pa@calledsouth.org.nz by Tuesday 31 July 2018.

There is a provisional interview date of 17 August 2018.
