The past few years has seen significant progress across the Diocese with culture reset and development, renewed energy and initiatives across ministry and mission teams, leadership and discipleship development programmes in place. Our Mission Units continue the journey to respond to the Diocesan Mission & Vision with new buds of life and hope visible across the Diocese.
To support this growth, Diocesan Council and the Diocese Management team have a growing sense that it is important currently to focus on systems development regarding administration, operational and management structures as well as adding expertise and support to the various emerging opportunities.
The role of Deputy Diocesan Manager has been established for a 12-month period to assist the Diocesan Manager in advancing the systems development and special projects programme aimed at light weight low maintenance structures moving forward in support of ministry and mission.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Diocesan Manager and senior staff team. They will have considerable management and leadership experience, and time working in a not-for -profit organisation would be advantageous. The role requires an understanding of the Anglican ethos, and the vision and goals of the Wellington Diocese. Excellent interpersonal skills, strategic vision, flexibility and ability to lead successful change processes will be required.
It is envisaged the role will be a 0.6 to 0.8 FTE (to be negotiated with the successful candidate) for a 12-month fixed term.
