The British movie Edie, starring Sheila Hancock and Kevin Guthrie, is out now in New Zealand cinemas – and Mother’s Union has released a small group study guide to go with it. In the movie, cantankerous and bored octogenarian Edie (Hancock) ditches her life and family and decides to climb a mountain in Scotland in this feel-good drama. The Mother’s Union says: “We believe the themes running through Edie, particularly with regards to conforming to expectations, dealing with regret and renewal. make this film a great way to promote interesting dialogue with your group.”
The resource contains information about the movie and its stars, as well as questions for your small group to help you reflect on the theme “from regret to renewal.” You can download the resource from the Mother’s Union UK website here.
