Vacancy: Board member, New Zealand Anglican Church Pension Board

The New Zealand Anglican Church Pension Board (ACPB) seeks a new Board member due to the imminent retirement of a long standing member.

The principal objects of ACPB are to act as Trustee, Administrator and Investment Manager of various superannuation schemes for clergy and employees of the Church and other religious organisations.

ACPB’s strategy is to grow its funds under management and enhance income from external services, in order to sustain its preferred in-house business model.

The Board seeks expressions of interest from individuals experienced in governance who can demonstrate a strong empathy for the aims of the Church and those of ACPB. Applicants need to have the ability and knowledge to comprehend the wider commercial and economic framework in which ACPB operates and the competence to deal with current and emerging issues of the business.

The Board operates to high standards of governance commensurate with its responsibilities under the Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013.

Board members are currently not entitled to remuneration and give of their time and skill as a gift to the Church.
