They Are Changing the Guard at Mission to Seafarers

Reverend Lance Lukin, currently Principal Defence Chaplain with Headquarters, Defence Force, has been appointed the new Port Chaplain at Wellington.  Lance will commence his duties early in 2016, when Reverend Bob Peters retires.

Lance also becomes Regional Director for Mission to Seafarers, covering the whole of the Province and Melanesia.  He succeeds Peter Snow in this role, when Peter retires at the end of this year.

Meanwhile, Peter has retired from his various Mission to Seafarers roles in Wellington, his successor as Chairman of the Wellington Mission and its Charitable Trusts being Mrs Linda Olesen who worships at St Hilda’s, Upper Hutt.  Peter has also retired as Chairman of the Oceania Council of the Mission to Seafarers, to be succeeded by Captain Christopher Barradale, currently Chairman of the Mission in Auckland, and from the Wellington Seafarers Centre Charitable Trust, to be succeeded by Fr Jeff Drane, National Director of Apostleship of the Sea.
