Keen to bee involved in sweet a new bee-keeping social enterprise?

The Bishop’s Trust over the past 18 months has supported five organisations to set up businesses that give back, these are commonly called social enterprises. These have ranged from support to set up a cafe in Naenae for ex-prisoners, to a bouncy castle business to support social workers in schools. We are now looking at the possibility to invest in the honey business.

We are looking for people who can help. Do you know the “business” of bees, are you a registered beekeeper that is keen to help? Do you have land that we can locate hives on? Do you want to make a gift to see this become a reality?

As part of the this business, we will be supporting prisoners back into society, offering them jobs. All profits will be  going back to supporting the most vulnerable in the community and reinvesting in other community initiatives.
