Community Comms Collective is a group of communications professionals who offer their time and expertise for free to not-for-profits. Their next Wellington-based workshop is about how the media landscape is changing, and how not-for-profits might better engage with the media, and this may be of interest to parishes wanting to learn more about media engagement.
At the workshop, you can hear from a panel of journalists from print, radio, TV and online media organisations about their experiences of reporting on not-for-profits. Find out what journalists are looking for when they contact your organisation, what makes a good interview and a great story, and tips on how to pitch your story ideas to them.
Date and time: Tuesday 10 April | 10.00am – 11.30am
Location: St Johns in the City Conference Centre, Willis Street, Wellington
Cost: $5 koha to Volunteer Wellington to cover venue/morning tea
RSVP: by Friday 6 April to firstname.lastname@example.org — please let them know which parish / organisation you represent.
