St Barnabas Anglican Parish is located in the beautiful suburb of Roseneath. Roseneath and Oriental Bay are coastal suburbs situated on the slopes of Mt Victoria adjacent to the centre of Wellington City.
The parish is small but vibrant and growing; our parishioners gather from across the Wellington region and enjoy a modern catholic liturgy that is supported by a robed choir and organ accompaniment.
Our church is 110 years old, wooden gothic, recently restored and currently being reroofed and we have a parish lounge and vicarage both built in the 70s, both having the best harbour views in Wellington.
We are looking forward to welcoming our new Priest in Charge who can enable, mentor and encourage our existing team as we worship together and work towards our goals to:
- Increase our weekend service attendance,
- Help parishioners to get better connected,
- Help our parishioners grow in spiritual maturity,
- Encourage parishioners to serve and minister,
- And fulfill the great commission locally, globally, and cross-culturally.
The position is 0.5 to 0.7 dependent on negotiation with the preferred candidate.
