The 12th of March is Commonwealth Day, on which people in nations throughout Africa, Asia, the Carribbean and Americas, the Pacific and Europe will observe the common future to which member nations aspire. In New Zealand, Wellington Cathedral of St Paul will play host to a national observance, which will involve representatives of foreign nations and their communities here in New Zealand, as well as government and other churches. The Cathedral invites Anglicans from all over Wellington and the diocese to come and show generous hospitality to those present, and be part of the observance service.
The service will be at the Cathedral at 6pm, on Monday the 12th of March, with refreshments afterwards. For more information about Commonwealth Day, click here.
