St Michael’s Kelburn operates a flat near Victoria University in Wellington as part of its ministry to tertiary students in the capital, and it has a room available for one or two people to fill for the coming year.
The flat is a tidy, warm and modern house above the shops in Kelburn village, Wellington. It’s right next to St Michael’s and the village (pub, dairy, gym, mail, doctors) and only five minutes walk from Victoria University.
The flat is three bedrooms total and there is one room vacant. The parish is looking for either one or two people to fill it. It’s not suitable for couples, and we would only put two people of the same gender in a shared room, preferably two friends, although we would also look at people who applied separately to share. There are two flatmates currently in residence, one post-graduate student and one grad.
St Michael’s sub-lets the flat on a fixed-term, one-year lease to the student group. We are looking for someone who’d like to join in and be part of the warm St Michael’s whānau.
The flat is currently let for $586 total a week, which would be $138 each for people sharing the room, or the total rent would be split between three otherwise. We are expecting a small rent increase this year.
