Wairarapa parishes join forces to welcome Christmas babies

Wairarapa Hospital Chaplain Rev Lizzie Snowsill works hard to build relationships between church communities, such as her own in the Parish of the Epiphany, Masterton; and community health sector.  So when she was approached to provide baby product hampers to those families booked into the maternity ward over Christmas, she turned to the parishes of the Wairarapa for help.  At very little notice, our Wairarapa family answered the call and provided plenty of products, which were delivered to the hospital recently.

“Each basket will have a little card explaining where the gifts are from,” says Lizzie.  “The contributions came from folk who wanted to enjoy the prospect of welcoming a little baby at this special season, when the babe of Bethlehem is remembered.”  Although the babies have yet to arrive, we assume the gifts will be well received!
