Seeking home owners to help alleviate student housing shortage

Here’s another chance for home-owners to directly contribute to alleviating the housing crisis in Wellington.  In early 2017, there was a severe shortage of student accommodation. Some students ended up living in overcrowded flats – one student known to the Diocese ended up living on a porch! Others had to reconsider their choice to study.

We would like to prevent this happening in 2018, and invite home owners in the Capital to consider if they have capacity to be part of the solution.

We are compiling a list of homeowners with a spare room who may be able to offer temporary board to a student in early 2018. All specifics (timeframe, rent) are for you to negotiate with the student directly. This process will simply connect interested homeowners and students.

Express your interest by clicking here.  Filling in this form does not commit you. We will contact you with further information.
