Living Wage to hold forum for Wellington City Council by-election

There will soon to be a by-election to elect a new Southern Ward councillor for Wellington City Council.  As a member of the Living Wage Movement, the diocese encourages those in the Wellington City area to join the Living Wage team at their by-election forum to share the Living Wage story and to demonstrate the strong community support for the Living Wage.

Living Wage Wellington has campaigned hard for Wellington City Council to become New Zealand’s first Living Wage council and we are well on the way to achieving this. We have had strong support from the Mayor and majority of councillors and we want to ensure the new councillor continues that commitment.

Please support the forum by coming and inviting others from your organisation and your friends and whānau to join you. And please let the organiser, Lyndy MacIntyre, know if you would like to help on the night.
