Lebanese response to Syrians fleeing conflict: Tearfund special event

The Syrian refugee crisis, now more than six years in the making, is continuing to bring misery to more than 12 million people. Nabil Costa will be in Wellington on Wednesday 8th of November at St Peters on Willis  to share his experiences of meeting the growing needs of the more than one million Syrian refugees in Lebanon.

Despite the hatred that exists between the Lebanese people and the Syrians as a result of the Syrian occupation in Lebanon, Nabil’s organisation the Lebanese Baptist Society (Tearfund’s partner), has been at the forefront of a response providing food, warmth and comfort to Syrians fleeing the conflict. Come and hear how God has challenged Lebanese pastors to Love their Neighbours and how Kiwis have been part of this story by giving to successive Tearfund Syrian Appeals.
