The Parish of Levin’s Greenhouse Community is to run a Restorative Communication Skills workshop, teaching participants how to feel confident inviting others into positive communication and relationships. Participants will learn the role of open questions, the role of curiosity, the role of self, the role of power and powerlessness, and the role of trauma in relationships and communication.
The workshop facilitators will be Adrienne Brewerton and David Atkinson, who are counsellors who with a team of Kaitiaki, help bring diverse groups of people together into Christian community. This is a challenging ministry where conflict is often managed well using skills anyone can learn. This workshop will be facilitated in a practical way that will see you try out your new skills in safe and supported ways.
