The Department of Theology and Religion and the Bioethics Centre at the University of Otago are jointly offering a Summer School paper on Bioethics and Christian Theology (CHTH217/317). The Summer School operates from the 8th of January 2018 until the 16th of February 2018, and this paper is available both on campus and via distance learning.
Topics covered include: Euthanasia, Sanctity of Life, Abortion, IVF and Genetics, Theological Conception of the Person, Autonomy, Suffering and Health, Beneficence and Duty of Care and Dementia.
Prerequisite: at 200-level; any two 100-level papers in any subject; at 300-level; any one 200-level paper in any subject. This prior study can have been undertaken at any accredited tertiary institution and need not have been done recently.
