Housing lament presentation accompanied by new take on quintessential Kiwi anthem

Rev Tric Malcolm played an animated slide show of facts and photos from the recent month of prayer and action to lament the housing crisis.  The PowerPoint presentation is here, and you can read the following related stories:

During the presentation, Tric played Dave Dobbyn’s Nau Mai Rā – a newly released version of his hit anthem Welcome Home, re-recorded in te reo Māori.  You can read the RNZ News article here, and watch Dave perform it live on YouTube here.

Tric felt that the song was so appropriate, given the popularity of the English language version.  She felt it speaks so much of our sense of place, of being Kiwi, and to have it recorded in te reo Māori ties so closely with our longing to see adequate housing for every New Zealander.
