Marriage Preparation Facilitator Training – 30 September and 14 October

Marriage Preparation Facilitator Training – 30 September and 14 October

Priests officiating marriages of couples in the Anglican Church are required, in the Marriage Canon, to ensure the couple has undergone marriage preparation.  The Diocese is pleased to offer two opportunities for Facilitator training in the Prepare-Enrich marriage preparation and enrichment programme with Max Palmer.  There are now two versions of the programme and we are offering training in each.

  • Saturday 30 September at St Paul’s Church, Kapiti Road, Paraparaumu from 9.00am to 4.00pm – full version
  • Saturday 14 October at the Diocesan Team Training Day, Palmerston North for four hours – short version

Training is open to lay people (check with your parish priest) and clergy (and their spouses).  In both cases it is preferable for those doing the facilitator training (where they are couples) to do the Prepare Enrich Questionnaire themselves, so a speedy response with your email address, will ensure this.

The cost is subsidised and is just $50.00 per person.  This includes all materials you will need on a flash drive, and a free first assessment.  Parishes may help with payment from their training budgets.
