Anglicans to play a big part in next election forum

The Living Wage Movement is to hold an election forum at St Peter’s on Willis Street, Wellington, on the 30th of August.  Similar to the Housing Forum, the Living Wage forum includes entertainment and stories from those affected by the Living Wage, and direct responses from political party representatives, including Jacinda Ardern, Jan Logie and others.  Bishop Justin will offer closing remarks at the forum, and in a bold move, politicians will be held to account by the MCs, Rev Jenny Dawson and respected broadcaster Ian Johnstone, by being asked directly if their parties will take leadership on providing a Living Wage to government employees.

See the Facebook event for more information or download the event poster.

Note: the event has previously been advertised as being at the Cathedral – it is in fact to be held at St Peter’s on Willis Street.
