St Luke’s Greytown welcomes new Priest in Charge

St Luke’s Greytown welcomed Rev Harry Newton, wife Aimee and children Josiah and Ariana to their parish on the 6th of August 2017.

The Newtons have moved from the Parish of Fendalton in Christchurch to Greytown and are excited about their new challenge in the small Wairarapa town.

Self-confessed “mish kids,” both Harry and Aimee’s parents have been missionaries in several parts of the world. Having returned to Aotearoa, Harry’s father was ordained as an Anglican priest while his mother specialized as a diabetes nurse specialist. Aimee’s parents have also returned home and now reside in Hamilton where they are active members in NZCMS as well as their local parish.

Harry replaces Rev Andy Eldred who has moved just up the road to St Mark’s Carterton.
