The Anglican Association of Women (AAW) is inviting families and their friends to a Family Picnic in Whanganui on Saturday, the 25th of February. This is a great opportunity to have a relaxed and social time with other parents and children in the beautiful environment of the Bason Botanic Gardens.
Life is always better together, so the Association is encouraging families in the diocese to bring along their friends for a fantastic and relaxing time. It’s also a great opportunity for younger mums and dads to come alongside those with more experience – rubbing shoulders with those who have done it all before can reap rewards when facing the challenges of parenthood!
The day begins at 11:00am with a tour of the conservatories and gardens before the group will picnic together at 12:30pm. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own picnic, including rug or chairs, sun umbrella or whatever else you may need. Don’t forget to slip, slop, slap and wrap! The day will conclude with an outdoor service at 2:00pm.
