The bell ringers of the Wellington Cathedral of St Paul are looking for a secure home for their mini ring. The space required would be 5 x 3 metres, with a high ceiling of about 3 metres. The sound produced by these small bells is not loud and would not be heard outside the building, so would not affect any near neighbours. Any possible space would need to be in the Wellington or Lower Hutt region as the ringers are spread around the city and its environs, so we would need to consider travelling times.
We normally use this ring on Saturdays and Sundays, with possible occasional use on a Tuesday evening from 7.30-9pm.
Is there anyone who could help us out? It would be on a trial basis for both parties initially so that everyone is happy with the idea. The mini ring can be assembled or dismantled in a hour.
If you think you can help us, please phone or email the Ringing Master, Derek Williams. Home: 04 907 1574 or Mobile: 021 031 9933. Email: firstname.lastname@example.org
