28-29 October, Wellington Cathedral of St Paul
Curious about EfM? Here are some comments from EfM (Education for Ministry) participants….
‘Challenging, sometimes intellectually demanding, and thought provoking, but always very worthwhile’”
‘A greater sense of the spiritual in my life.’
‘Brings alive the writers of scripture and their particular struggles.’
‘I was surprised by EfM. It wasn’t what I expected. It was all I signed up for, but much more besides…’
‘Addresses questions of ministry and mission in today’s world.’
Mentor training equips and accredits mentors to begin and lead EfM groups. You don’t need to have done EfM, but you need to:
– be able to commit to a regular rhythm of reading, study, and personal reflection to guide a weekly group
– feel called to deepen your own Christian faith and help others do the same
– have good small group facilitation skills
– be able to foster a group environment of mutual respect for diversity.
