Driving Practice Volunteers Needed for Refugee Women

ChangeMakers Refugee Forum are looking for remarkable women willing to volunteer their time to take a refugee-background woman for driving practice. This is a chance to be a part of someone’s journey to independence.

Each learner driver has had professional lessons and now needs practice to get her licence. She will provide the car for practice. ChangeMakers Refugee Forum provide training for our volunteers who can choose to volunteer with a Porirua, Hutt or Wellington driver.

So far 83 women have had the opportunity to learn to drive through our programme. We have 21 new drivers starting driving lessons shortly, so we urgently need new volunteers.

Any women interested in volunteering can contact Naomi directly on naomi@crf.org.nz or by calling 04 801 5812. When you call, please let her know that you heard about this from the Anglican Church!
