On Sunday 5 June, All Saints in Palmerston North was host to their 8th Annual Jazz Service—a part of the International Manawatu Jazz Festival. About 170 people attended from across the city–some from All Saints, some from other churches, and some from no church at all. With afternoon tea beforehand, this was a wonderful way for All Saints to show Generous Hospitality to those who would not normally enter their building’s doors. As one attendee said, “This is the only church service I attend in a year!”
Mark Wilson from Queenstown’s St Peters Anglican Church performed as the featured pianist. He was in great form with his wife Emma playing the trumpet. The festival is organised by Rodger Fox.
