A Rocha Aotearoa New Zealand is part of an international Christian organisation involved in environmental mission in 20 countries. A Rocha (meaning “The Rock”) believes that God wants to redeem the whole of creation, human and non-human, in fulfilling his purpose to make “all things new”. Their primary aim is to motivate and mobilise Christians to care for what God has made, thereby addressing what is arguably the defining issue of the 21st century, and also providing for/witnessing to those who do not yet know Christ.
Part of A Rocha’s activity is education and advocacy. To that end they offer short awareness-raising seminars to churches (one or more!) and community groups, as well as speaking at Sunday services.
The Diocesan Climate Change Group encourages parishes to follow up on this opportunity and perhaps make it a Cluster event. For more information about the seminars on offer, please contact Philip Donnell on email@example.com or see the flyer below.
