Ben Pringle appointed as new Diocesan Manager

The Diocesan Council is delighted to announce that Ben Pringle will be the new Diocesan Manager, taking over from Nick Young. Ben is currently a public servant, working at the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment.  Over his career, he has worked in both the public and non-government sectors, including the NZ Red Cross.  Ben’s work experience encompasses policy development, research and analysis, design of service delivery mechanisms, preparation of funding applications and disbursement of funding, contract management, and working with iwi and stakeholder groups.  He holds BA (Hons) and BCA degrees from Victoria University of Wellington.

Ben and his family worship at the Cathedral, and they are long-standing members of Urban Vision.  Ben told the interview panel: “I want to join an organisation that has a strong culture of discipleship, works together as whānau, advocates for justice and transformation for those on the margins, and above all places Jesus at the centre.”

Ben will start work with us on Monday 9 December.  He is very much looking forward to meeting more of the Diocesan whānau, and hearing about how he and the Diocesan Office team can best support our mission and ministry initiatives.
