Rev Pete Watson to move to St Matthew’s Masterton

The Bishops and Nominators have pleasure in announcing that the Reverend Pete Watson, currently Vicar of Pauatahanui, will become the Vicar of St Matthew’s parish in Masterton at the end of January 2020.

Pete has been at Pauatahanui since 2014.  Under his leadership the parish undertook a significant change process.  Consequently, they have seen worship opportunities grow for families, increased discipleship and people in small groups, held more church meals and socials, and engaged in more outreach e.g refugee resettlement.

Prior to moving to Pauatahanui Pete was Priest Assistant in the parish of the Rangitikei and before that was a youth worker in Churton Park Parish.

Pete, Ange, Noah, Zoe and Owen are looking forward to serving the people of Wairarapa, a region that offers lots of opportunities for the outdoors activities they all love.
