Vacancy: Vicar, Parish of Ellesmere, Diocese of Christchurch (Closes 18th October 2019)

This is full-time vacancy.

The Parish of Ellesmere is a community of six small churches, set within the fast growing Selwyn District where the community balance is shifting from mainly farming with small rural support towns, to a mixture of farms, lifestyle blocks and township residents, many of whom commute to work outside of their township area.

The Parish is looking for a Vicar to preach God’s word in this semi‐rural parish.  The Vicar should be a good communicator with the ability to draw on the presence of existing lay ministry to bring Christ to families and young children in the district, and to support and grow our parish family.

A parish profile and an expression of interest form are available by emailing the Executive Assistant at the Diocese of Christchurch: or by phoning 03 348 6701.

Applications, which must include a CV, a response to the profile of not more than four pages, and a statement about your faith and personal approach to ministry, are requested by 4pm, Friday 18th October 2019 and are to be sent to
