Diocese to remain focused on climate change, housing; moves into year of discipleship

The motion that determines our diocesan focuses in the following year was carried, reiterating our focus on child poverty (with a focus on housing), climate change (with a focus on reducing carbon emissions), and on discipleship.

Bishop Justin explained that there are many things we can focus on, and these priorities are not designed to restrict us, but rather to focus our attention on some topics in which we can make a difference.  He explained that discipleship is based on one of the three rotating topics that stem from our mission statement: “we are family, we are disciples, we prioritise living with and for the last, the lost, and the least.”
