New training session for former refugee house set up

New training session for former refugee house set up

Every couple of months for the last few years, our movement has been working with the Catholic Church and the Red Cross to gather, sort and distribute household items for former refugee families coming to settle in Wellington.  Most of our recent work has focussed on gathering and sorting – but now a new opportunity has arisen for us to join the house set up team.  If you’ve done this before, you’ll know what a life-giving and meaningful thing it is to establish a home for a new Kiwi family that has been through so much heartache.

If you’d like to complete this training, only needs to be completed once, then the next opportunity is coming up at the beginning of October.  As part of the October intake, the Red Cross will run a training session from 6-7pm on the 8th of October, at Wellington Cathedral of St Paul.  Read more here, or contact Patricia Cooper to get involved, on patricia@anglicanmovement.nz.
