Rev Simon and Jessica Falconer, Parishes of Levin and Ōtaki

From Archdeacon Wendy Scott:

It is with great pleasure we announce the appointment of Rev Simon and Jessica Falconer as Co-Ministers ion Charge in the parishes of Levin and Ōtaki. They will be job sharing this exciting new role and together with their two boys will be moving to live in the Ōtaki Vicarage.

An installation service for them both will be held at Rangiatea church in Ōtaki on Saturday the 7th at 5.30pm, following Team Training Day in Palmerston North.  If you’re journeying south, we’d love you to come and join with the diocesan whānau as we welcome them to this place.  There will be a shared pot luck dinner following the service.

Clergy attending are invited to wear Alb and red stole.

From Simon and Jessica:

We feel extraordinarily blessed to be moving into the most beautiful parishes in the diocese.  Our two sons, Sam and Eli, have already made a fort on Ōtaki Beach and chosen the tree to build a hut in. Our Labradoodle has met his new neighbours, two curious chickens who he is terrified of.

When God called us to move into ministry on the Coast, we were hesitant (as we both are when God actually asks us to DO anything!) However, having spent time with, and come to know the hearts of our new parishioners, we see God has laid a path for us.

We ask for prayer from you as we seek to share God’s message in a new place.

Kia tau te rangimarie.
