Sharing and Learning How Community Initiatives Are Supporting Children: Exciting New Collaborative Project – Do You Know of Projects We Can Include?

Inspiring Communities supports and strengthens community-led development approaches in New Zealand.  Plunket, UNICEF and Every Child Counts are working with Inspiring Communities on a new project to profile, celebrate and learn from community-led projects and action underway in the broader child wellbeing space.

We are interested in learning about local community initiatives and how they are supporting good outcomes for children and their families.  The aim is to deepen understanding and help create positive momentum around locally-led action through sharing local community stories and experiences. We are currently pulling together a database of child focused community-led initiatives/projects happening across New Zealand so we can begin profiling innovative local change efforts.

We’d love your help in identifying great local projects to profile.  The projects could be formal or informal, big/small – anything goes!

If you know of any local initiatives please contact Lisa Woods, Executive Officer, Every Child Counts, on email everychildcountsnz@gmail.com.  Any feedback on projects that Inspiring Communities could contact would be appreciated by 20 July.
