Vacancy: Vicar, Parish of Rangiora, Diocese of Christchurch (Closes 31st July 2019)

The Parish of Rangiora is eagerly awaiting its new full-time Vicar. Lay people are keen to be involved in the day-to-day work of the Parish. Parishioners are willing to try some different forms of worship (e.g. Taize services) and are keen to grow spiritually.

Rangiora is the largest town in the Waimakariri District, in North Canterbury—an attractive town with good schooling (including to secondary level), shopping, sports facilities yet within easy reach of Christchurch city.

We need someone with a pastoral heart, able to relate to a variety of people well; someone who has collegial leadership that takes the people with him/her and able to facilitate and engage others in the mission of God.

A parish profile and an expression of interest form are available by emailing the Executive Assistant at the Diocese of Christchurch: or by phoning 03 348 6701.

Applications, which must include a CV, a response to the profile of not more than four pages, and a statement about your faith and personal approach to ministry, are requested by Wednesday 31 July 2019 and are to be sent to
