Johnsonville vicar lights up Vaughan Park with song

From: Vaughan Park Retreat Centre

The Ruatara Chapel at Vaughan Park was filled with song, music, light and good company when Scholar, Rev Ben Johnson-Frow (from our Johnsonville parish whānau) recently shared his songwriting gifts at a joyous and inspirational evening of worship, storytelling, and music, attracting a large and appreciative crowd. We posted pictures of the evening on our Facebook page.

During his stay at Vaughan Park, he wrote The Ghost and performed the song that evening. “It was,” he says, “inspired by loved ones who have talked about some of their mental health struggles and in doing so have helped me to reflect on aspects of my own life. The ending was inspired by my daughter Breanna who gave me a verse – 2 Corinthians 12:9 – which is now stuck up on our fridge at home as a constant reminder.” You can listen and watch his video on his Facebook page.
