Refugee background workers feature in World Refugee Day photo exhibition

Our friends Living Wage Wellington and Changemakers Resettlement Forum have been working together to co-ordinate a photo exhibition on the lives of refugee background workers.

The exhibition will be launched at the New Zealand Portrait Gallery at 6pm on Thursday 20 June, World Refugee Day. The event is both a celebration of our refugee background community and the formal launch of our exhibition, by the Minister of Finance and the MP for Wellington Central, Hon. Grant Robertson.

Date: 20th June
Time: 6-8pm
Venue: New Zealand Portrait Gallery, Shed 11, Customhouse Quay (opp. Johnston St), Wellington

You are warmly invited to join the Living Wage and Changemakers whānau from 6pm for (short) speeches, refreshments and entertainment from Sam Manzana. The formalities will be at 6:15pm and there will then be time to view the 42 photos and read the stories of the six participants.

The exhibition will launch on the 20th of June, but will then show at the gallery from the 20th until the 23rd of June, from 10:30am – 4:30pm each day.
