Bishops call us to climate action

Bishops call us to climate action

Bishop Justin spoke to us at Team Training Day and told us that with the consideration of the Zero Carbon Bill in Parliament, we are a movement will be taking strong action to support the reduction of carbon emissions.

With the current submission process for the Bill, the bishops are now calling us to gather at least 500 submissions from Anglicans across our movement, sending a strong signal to Government that we are strongly in favour of action that curbs climate change, and protects God’s creation for future generations.

So we’ve created Our Climate Mission: an event on the 16th of June allowing young Anglicans to tell our church services why climate change matters to them, including a short video explaining the proposed legislation, a short filmed sermon from Bishop Eleanor to use if you wish, and the opportunity for parishioners to make their own submissions after the service.

To find out more, head to the Our Climate Mission page on Movement Online and be sure to register your parish, or register as a speaker.
