Engaging Child Poverty – Parish of Pauatahanui

The Parish of Pauatahanui recently delivered 177 scarves to Cannons Creek Primary School (one for each child on the roll).  Pictured are Glenis who leads the Prayers and Squares team from the parish, who made the scarves along with a team of dedicated parishioners, and Ruth O’Neil, the principal of the school.  Ruth said she was “extremely grateful for this gift, to have a scarf for winter for each child on the roll is unbelievable, thank you so much.”

This little project has blessed a Porirua school and we said that we would share this idea with the wider church to promote similar ideas to bless local schools that may not have resources to help children especially in the winter months.
